Fiorinal Uses, Dosage Side Effects

Fiorinal (aspirin, butalbital, and caffeine) is used to treat tension headaches. Includes Fiorinal side effects, interactions and indications.

Take Fiorinal exactly as prescribed. Never take this medication in larger amounts, or for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label. l your doctor if the medicine seems to stop working as well in relieving your headache.

To make sure you can safely take Fiorinal, l your doctor if you have any of these other conditions:

easy bruising, unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum), purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin.

This list is not complete and there are many other drugs that can interact with Fiorinal.

Before taking this medication, l your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to aspirin, caffeine, or butalbital; or to other barbiturates (e.g., phenobarbital ), salicylates (e.g., salsalate), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., ibuprofen ), or xanthine derivatives (e.g., theophylline); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
