prescribed but I told my doc I was taking them..I had stopped for the first 3 months and then started again. I asked her if she could prescribe.

Yes, CPS will be involved and you could be arrested since taking a prescribed medication that wasn't prescribed to you is a Class D felony in most states. At least if you switched to the hydrocodone and are unable to stop taking it, or it doesn't clear from your and the baby's system in time, you would be covered by the prescription.

De Wit presented a case of a 25-year-old female who consumed 100 mg tramadol tablets (3 times a day, a total of 300 mg/day) during pregnancy for the management of chronic headache and migraine attacks. Due to the risk of withdrawal symptoms, delivery was done in a tertiary care setting where the baby was born normally but developed severe withdrawal symptoms 36 hours post- birth. After 3 days of close observation, intensive care, and treatment with phenobarbital, the baby was discharged home.

Despite the fact that tramadol is one of the potent analgesics with a lower risk of psychological or physical dependence, there is concern surrounding its consumption by pregnant mothers.

I plan on weaning down to 2 1/2's lortabs and no tramadol a week b4 my scheduled c-section. Tramadol is ok during pregnancy but b4 u take.

I am 12 weeks pregnant and i take tramadol for severe arthiritus in my arm and hand. i usually take up to 6 a day (50mg), does anyone know.
