Codeine and alcohol is not a great mix. Teh NHS advice All you need to know about that is that it's bad for you, too much will kill you. But then.

I'm on the 30/500s at the moment with Diclofenac. A bit too energetic off a jump on fast flowing trails resulted in an upside-down superman on Sunday. I don't find the beer changes their effect but just occasionally (even without alcohol) I get a reaction. Tonight I'm going to ditch the Co-Co and take paracetamol instead.

Addicts smoke 30mg tablets at a time, up to 30 tablets a day. I find this absoluy unreal, 5-10mg of Oxy compley floors me.

if anything you might end up coming home from the pub feeling like you are going to keel over.

Teh NHS advice is perhaps erring on the side of caution but itw worth listening to Codeine, dihydrocodeine and tramadol are types of opioid (a stronger type of painkiller).

I'd heard the warning to avoid mixing alcohol and antibiotics from friends and family while growing up. But during medical school, I only heard it in reference to a specific antibiotic, metronidazole (Flagyl). People who take metronidazole and drink alcohol can become very sick.
