I had a horrible cold when I was about 30 weeks pregnant with my son and taking that cough syrup make a huge difference in my sleep. I had pulled a muscle in my stomach from coughing and was so uncomfortable and it was a relief to have a break from the coughing. I hate taking any medications when I'm pregnant but needed to take that.

Consumption of Cheratussin AC can also impair cognitive functioning. The Food and Drug Administration has categorized Cheratussin AC under Category C, meaning its effect on a human fetus is unknown.

According to Drugs.com, Ciprodex is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic commonly used to treat ear infections. It is available in the form of liquid drops and contains the steroid dexamethasone, which reduces inflammation from infection. Ciprodex kills bacteria by inhibiting their protein production.

According to HealthTap, Medroxypr AC, or medroxyprogesterone acetate, is used to regulate ovulation and menstrual disorders and as an adjunct treatment for hormone replacement therapy.
